Summer #8…Sausage & Potato Soup 

We made a few changes …which is why I love our recipes…make them your own…what does your family love…be brave…try something new…I added our changes in the recipe…I also made fresh green beans from my garden drizzled with Bayou Bourbon…never gets old!!

Sausage & potato Soup
cold water

1 package Perfectly Potato Cheddar Soup Mix **

1 tablespoon Wahoo! Chili® Seasoning **

1 (13-16 ounce) package Kielbasa sausage, sliced

4 cups chopped kale, stems removed (did not add…you could use spinach, broccoli or just leave it out)

(We added about 2 cups of frozen cubed potatoes (country stay hash browns) the last 5 mins)

In large saucepan over medium heat, whisk together water, Perfectly Potato Cheddar Soup Mix and Wahoo! Chili® Seasoning.

Stir in sausage and kale. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 6 servings.
Variation: Prepare step 1 in a 3-quart or larger slow cooker. Stir in sausage. Cook on LOW 4 hours. Stir in kale; cook 30 minutes.
Make ahead & freeze: Combine step 1 in a gallon freezer bag. Place Kielbasa in a quart freezer bag. Place both bags in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Thaw completely. Continue with step 1.
