Winter Solutions #17: Hot Pork Sandwiches Au Jus

I was ready for dinner at 4pm this smelled so good cooking in the slow cooker today!  We added some tater tots and perfect easy to prepare (and clean up) dinner!!

Hot Pork Sandwiches Au Jus

2½ lb. blade or arm pork roast
12 oz. can cola
1 packet Hickory-Smoked Bacon Sauce Mix
1 Tbsp. Onion Onion™ Seasoning
2 tsp. Garlic Garlic™ Seasoning
6 hoagie buns

Combine first 5 ingredients in a greased slow cooker. Cover; cook on low 6-7 hours or until pork shreds easily. Serve on buns. Use extra juice for dipping. Serve with a pickle spear and macaroni salad. Makes 6 servings.
Tip: Serve pork between slices of bread and top with mashed potatoes. To make a gravy, thicken meat juice with equal parts cornstarch and cold water.
Make ahead & freeze
Combine first 5 ingredients in a gallon resealable freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Thaw and prepare as directed above.

½ cup olive oil
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 packet Hickory-Smoked Bacon Sauce Mix
1 Tbsp. Onion Onion™ Seasoning
2 tsp. Garlic Garlic™ Seasoning
