Day 24…DinnerTime Delights…Slow Cooker Mama Mia Turkey Recipe

hubby doesn’t really like turkey so I went with pork…no peppers either so just added a little extra corn…so good and our house smelled great all day!  I added everything to the crockpot and let it cook all day…just shredded apart…froze the leftovers for later!

Slow Cooker Mama Mia Turkey Recipe1½ lbs. turkey tenderloin

14.5 oz. can chicken broth

1 cup frozen corn (or 7-8 oz. can corn)

½ cup diced red bell pepper

½ cup uncooked instant rice

4 Tbsp. Mama Mia™ Marinara Sauce Mix (order at

6 (8-inch) tortillas (optional)

Assembly instructions: Combine ingredients, except tortillas, in a gallon resealable freezer bag; squish to mix. Seal well, label and freeze. 

Cooking instructions: Thaw completely. Combine all ingredients in a greased slow cooker. Cover, cook on low 4-5 hours. Remove turkey from slow cooker and slice. Serve on top of the rice and vegetables or in a tortilla. Makes 6 servings.

15-16 oz. can chickpeas, drained (reserve 1/3 cup liquid)

1 packet Red Bell Pepper Hummus Mix (order at

½ – 1 tsp. paprika
