Day 24 of 30…Pesto Pasta Sauce

I had meatballs in the freezer so added those instead…easy and can be reheated as we had late arrivals for dinner
Pesto Pasta Sauce
This is the perfect pasta sauce that can be ready tonight or made ahead of time and froze.
Ready in: 25 minutes
Prep time: 15 minutes
Chill/Cook time: 10 minutes

Serves 6
ingredients
20 oz. ground turkey breast
1/2 cup Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix …add to cart
14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes with juice
15 oz. can tomato sauce*
Black pepper to taste
12 oz. prepared pasta

Serve it tonight: Brown ground turkey in a large, greased frying pan until no longer pink. Add next 4 ingredients; simmer 10-15 minutes. Serve over hot pasta. Makes about 6 servings.

Serve it later: Brown ground turkey in a large, greased frying pan until no longer pink. Add next 4 ingredients; simmer 10-15 minutes. Cool completely. Place in a large resealable bag. Freeze until ready to serve. Thaw completely; heat through. Serve over hot pasta.
*For a less chunky sauce, add an additional 8 oz. can of tomato sauce.

Sides: Steamed fresh asparagus sprinkled with Seasoned Salt

Our groceries needed for our next recipe:
1 pound ground sausage
2 T onion onion…add to cart
1 package…Asiago Alfredo Warm Dip Mix…add to cart
15 oz can corn (can use frozen)
1 1/2 cups milk
4 to 6 russet potatoes (about 2 pounds)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c sour cream
