Day 9 of 30….Asiago Bacon and Sun Dried Tomato Penne

My mother in law dried cherry tomatoes this summer and I cannot wait to add them to this delicious recipe…a tip with the bacon since you are crumbling the bacon I cut the bacon in thirds before I cook it…makes it so much easier…and this is one of our favs so far!! Restaurant taste…budget friendly…so easy!!

Asiago Bacon and Sun Dried Tomato Penne

This recipe is a quick and easy fix for “What’s for supper?”

  • Prep time:15 minutes
  • Chill/Cook time:15 minutes
  • ingredients

  • 16 oz. box penne pasta
  • 1 lb. bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1 packet Asiago Alfredo Warm Dip Mix

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil leaves, divided, optional

directions Prepare pasta according to package directions while bacon is frying. Drain pasta and bacon. Crumble bacon into small pieces. In small saucepan combine dip mix, cream cheese and milk. Whisk to blend and heat until smooth. In large saucepan stir all ingredients together (stir in basil, if desired, reserving some of the basil for garnish); heat until warmed through.
